Farklılıklardan kaynaklanan anlaşmazlıklar diyalog kanalları açık tutularak müzakere edilebildiğinde bireylerin birbirlerini anlayabilmeleri, karşılıklı empati kurabilmeleri, birbirlerinin pencerelerinden hayata bakabilmelerini sağlayarak her iki tarafın da gelişebilmesini sağlar.

SOCIAL PEACE

If we want to find the right answer to the question “How can we build social peace?” , we need to analyse “the dissimilarities” which form the society correctly. I think, in the name of analysing we have mentioned before, we need to start it by accepting that either individual or social dissimilarities are natural and inevitable. It’s impossible to talk about a monotype existence neither in nature nor in human nature. There isn’t also a monotype existence in human whom we know that there are also dissimilarities between identical twins in question of personality and in nature where there are only hundreds of tints of “blue”.

It is inevitable to have conflicts from time to time while dissimilarities continue their existence together. Because people, associations, communities, politic-philosophic groups, religion and dissimilarities forming the society can cause different targets of all these elements. These dissimilarities can prevent each other’s targets from time to time and this can cause social conflicts. The effort of a dissimilarity can block the effort of the other dissimilarity to reach their own targets.

When we look at the history of humanity to overcome the social conflicts which result from intellectual and conscientious dissimilarities of the power using the sovereignty, we consider that the dissimilarities try to overcome their subjects by making them “same”. Inventing the printing press caused the information getting out of the sovereignty power’s monopoly. This influenced the Age of Reason.Like that effect today, we consider that the information spreads widely and quickly by means of the internet. This fact makes the choice of preventing the conflicts by making the subjects of the dissimilarities “same” impossible.

In today’s world humanity experiences a new Age of Reason. In almost all developed or undeveloped in the world, individuals and society sections resist against the monotype existence. Then let’s ask our question again. We can’t eliminate our dissimilarities so how can we build social peace?
First of all, we need to accept that the dissimilarities are natural and inevitable. We have no chance to live in another country or planet so we have to focus on how we can live together with our dissimilarities in peace. In addition to its mystic meaning of Mevlana’s expression “Come, whoever you are, come…” can be translated into “In spite of all our dissimilarities we can live together in peace”. In this context, I think Mevlana made a universal call with an ideal democracy definition 800 years ago.

The main problem is how individuals and social sections with all their dissimilarities will solve their conflicts. ARABULDER as a civil society organization answers this question by suggesting to solve the dissimilarities by negotiating the conflicts. While ARABULDER is making a suggestion, it doesn’t consider itself over or before other civil society organizations. Its suggestion is the reason of its own existence. In this context, it is clear that its suggestion can be discussed and in cooperation with all the civil society organizations.

ARABULDER claims in its suggestion that dissimilarities can be solved by negotiating and shows them by displaying these works. It doesn’t refuse other’s intellectual and conscientious dissimilarities. Its aim is to be a model in the society and among its own members by using negotiation which is a positive-peaceful way of solution.

ARABULDER considers all the dissimilarities of the society as an opportunity. It considers the disagreement as a raw material of individuals or social sections feeling sympathy to each other and going to win-win results. If we consider the disagreement as a kind of crisis, we can say that ARABULDER’s aim is “turn a crisis into an opportunity”.

In this context ARABULDER continues its works to realize the aim in the guidance of the principles below.

Bilimden, sanattan, felsefeden ve evrensel değerlerden bihaber insanlardan uzak dur!
